This Is Not a Government Office or Records Custodian. Sterling Residents Directory is a private reference service. We cannot retrieve or certify records, verify a current address, or alter an agency database. Direct those requests to the office that maintains the underlying record. For an emergency call 911. If you are being stalked or harassed, contact local law enforcement.
Where to Send a Record Request
These are the appropriate starting points for common Sterling record questions:
- Who owns or lives along a street: see the Sterling street directory
- Old directory volumes and past residents: see the Sterling city directory collections
- Finding or verifying one person: see the Sterling resident lookup walkthrough
- The offices behind the rolls: see Sterling resident records offices
- Records not available online: make a defined request under Virginia FOIA to the custodian identified for that record type
